Back to School

Today was the first day of school at Rimrock Elementary! The girls both woke up early and couldn't wait to get there! I have to admit that I was quite happy to see them off this morning.
It has been a great summer and the girls have been very busy, but it will be so nice to get them back into a routine!
Cara just turned 7 last week and is starting 2nd grade! Camryn is 9 and is beginning 4th grade. My how time flies!

Both Steve and I took them in and dropped them off in their classrooms with their supplies!

They each had a great day and absolutely love their teachers!

Cara's 7th Birthday

Cara, my little Bo-Peep, turned 7 on August 19th! I can't believe how time flies.

Her birthday is always a time of mixed emotions for me. Losing Mom just two days before Cara arrived was a trying time in our lives...but I'm sure Mom was watching over Cara on her special day. At 7, Cara loves dancing, music and animals. She spends time riding her bike, jumping on the tramp and playing with friends. She asked everyone for clothes and shoes for her birthday! She will be starting 2nd grade next week and is full of life! She may have lost her curly hair over the years but thank goodness she still has those dimples!

I was able to get off work early to spend some time with the girls and then we went out to dinner with Nana at the Outback Steakhouse...yum! We had the Kane's over for cake & ice cream later. Just a nice, quiet birthday for my girl!

Camryn's Baptism

Camryn was baptized in the Snake River through our church, Calvary Chapel of Idaho Falls, on Sunday, August 9th, 2009. We were so proud of her decision and it was an absolutely beautiful experience on a glorious day! My sister's family was able to be here with us to celebrate...but we really missed having Maryse there, although we know she was praying for Camryn and with us in thought while travelling in Greece!

Sunday Afternoon Fishing

Sunday afternoon we decided to take the girls fishing with the Clarks. We loaded up at Wal-Mart and headed up to a friend's private pond near Ririe! Camryn and Cara had never been fishing before and it's been years since Steve or I had been.

We had a blast with Mike, Kim, Payton, Dalton & Paige all afternoon! Everyone ended up catching at least one fish...most more than that! The bugs ate Cara and I alive but it was such a great afternoon with family and friends!
