September

Well, I don't really have any pictures to post today. Just some thoughts... September is here, well, it's nearly in full swing now. The girls have been back to school for several weeks. We're finally getting into a routine. Getting up and getting ready in the morning hasn't been as difficult lately. September also brings the beginning of dance season. The girls have started back into classes at Infinity Dance Studio here in Idaho Falls. They each go two days per week, of course at different times, though. They are already loving their classes and teachers. I have to admit that even though I dread driving and carpooling, I am so happy to have them dancing again.

I love to see them dancing around the house and practicing things they've learned in class each day! I really am looking forward to competition season again this year. I love cheering for Infinity and I'm always SO excited to see what Infinity's amazing instructors come up with for choreography!!! Every year they seem to top themselves and amaze me even more!

Yet another reason I love September...FOOTBALL!!!! My fantasy football season is beginning soon. I love sitting on the couch on Sunday afternoons with Steve and watching the NFL. I'm really looking forward to it! In addition to NFL action....High School Football has started!! I have to say that I've been missing high school football. So I've decided that this year I will be a Hillcrest Knights Football supporter! The girls and I went to their game last Friday and it was so much fun! I know a few of the boys playing this year, which made it super fun, and the Knights played awesome! This Friday is the big Civil War!! It's the annual game between rivals Hillcrest and Bonneville. The girls love dressing up in their Hillcrest gear and I'll try to remember to take pictures of them this Friday to post.

Well, that's about it for now! Just wanted to update a bit. Hope all is going well with family and friends this fall season. We're looking forward to the change of colors that autumn brings and settling into routines is always a good thing! Talk to you all soon!

Back to School

Today was the first day of school at Rimrock Elementary! The girls both woke up early and couldn't wait to get there! I have to admit that I was quite happy to see them off this morning.
It has been a great summer and the girls have been very busy, but it will be so nice to get them back into a routine!
Cara just turned 7 last week and is starting 2nd grade! Camryn is 9 and is beginning 4th grade. My how time flies!

Both Steve and I took them in and dropped them off in their classrooms with their supplies!

They each had a great day and absolutely love their teachers!

Cara's 7th Birthday

Cara, my little Bo-Peep, turned 7 on August 19th! I can't believe how time flies.

Her birthday is always a time of mixed emotions for me. Losing Mom just two days before Cara arrived was a trying time in our lives...but I'm sure Mom was watching over Cara on her special day. At 7, Cara loves dancing, music and animals. She spends time riding her bike, jumping on the tramp and playing with friends. She asked everyone for clothes and shoes for her birthday! She will be starting 2nd grade next week and is full of life! She may have lost her curly hair over the years but thank goodness she still has those dimples!

I was able to get off work early to spend some time with the girls and then we went out to dinner with Nana at the Outback Steakhouse...yum! We had the Kane's over for cake & ice cream later. Just a nice, quiet birthday for my girl!

Camryn's Baptism

Camryn was baptized in the Snake River through our church, Calvary Chapel of Idaho Falls, on Sunday, August 9th, 2009. We were so proud of her decision and it was an absolutely beautiful experience on a glorious day! My sister's family was able to be here with us to celebrate...but we really missed having Maryse there, although we know she was praying for Camryn and with us in thought while travelling in Greece!

Sunday Afternoon Fishing

Sunday afternoon we decided to take the girls fishing with the Clarks. We loaded up at Wal-Mart and headed up to a friend's private pond near Ririe! Camryn and Cara had never been fishing before and it's been years since Steve or I had been.

We had a blast with Mike, Kim, Payton, Dalton & Paige all afternoon! Everyone ended up catching at least one fish...most more than that! The bugs ate Cara and I alive but it was such a great afternoon with family and friends!

Summer 2009

We've been busy this summer and it seems unbelievable that school is just around the corner! The girls have been taking swimming lessons and just went to a 2 day equestrian course at Parkwood Equestrian Center in Idaho Falls. They had the time of their lives!

Camryn is looking forward to dance and school starting again already! She'll be in 4th grade and I can't believe it! Cara is starting 2nd grade and has almost caught up in height to her big sister.

Harrison has graduated from Boot Camp and is now in Virginia getting more training. Maryse is travelling in Greece for a month...lucky girl! We look forward to updates from both of them!

Steve and I are still busy with work and golf as usual. We had fun playing in the Yo Murphy Charity Tournament a few weeks ago and are looking forward to our Chapman Tournament at the end of August!

That's it for now. Here's a couple of photos!
